About the Journal
Focus and Scope
JASE publishes peer-reviewed, original research conference papers relating to security and law enforcement. The selected papers published were presented at the multiple serial annual international conferences held worldwide since 2024, jointly organised by Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Persatuan Industri Keselamatan Malaysia (PIKM), ASIS Chapter Malaysia and Latihan Penguatkuasaan Undang-Undang (LPU Malaysia), Innovative University College.
Peer Review Process
Papers are peer-reviewed within three weeks by the Editorial Board Members. Papers are assessed based on seven criteria as follows:-
1. Topic
- Relevancy; Research background; Clarity of Aim and Objectives.
2. Literature Review
- Relation of research to previous studies; Issues derived from literature; Updated references (less than 5 years).
3. Methodology
- Detailed clear description; Procedures justified; Limitations acknowledged.
4. Findings
- Clearly described; Relevant findings highlighted.
5. Analysis & Discussion
- Relevant findings discussed in relation to theories /issues/objectives/ literature; Considerations of implications beyond the confines of the research.
6. Conclusions & Recommendations
- Retrospective evaluation of research & Contributions; Recommendations for improving the situation; Identification of new directions for further research
7. Overall
- Standard of English Language (Score to be above 90%) and Similarity Index (Plagiarism) to be less than 30%, based on Grammarly; Clarity of illustrations; APA style of referencing.
Publication Frequency
Commencing 2024 the JASE is published once annually, including Supplementary issues.

JASE is an international multidisciplinary Open Access Journal which adheres to the BOAI definition of open access: that users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles.
