    In-depth institutional, national, or regional sustainability cases and evidence-based policy analysis and implementation frameworks.

Peer Review Process

PEER REVIEW POLICY (SCOPUS / DOAJ-COMPLIANT)

  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.
  • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
  • Review criteria include originality, relevance, methodological rigor, clarity, and contribution to sustainability scholarship.
  • Editorial decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
  • Average review timeline target: 6–8 weeks.

Papers are peer-reviewed within three weeks by the Editorial Board Members. Papers are assessed based on seven criteria as follows:-

  1. Topic
    Relevancy; Research background; Clarity of Aim and Objectives.
  2. Literature Review
    Relation of research to previous studies; Issues derived from literature; Updated references (less than 5 years).
  3. Methodology
    Detailed clear description; Procedures justified; Limitations acknowledged.
  4. Findings
    Clearly described; Relevant findings highlighted.
  5. Analysis & Discussion
    Relevant findings discussed in relation to theories /issues/objectives/ literature; Considerations of implications beyond the confines of the research.
  6. Conclusions & Recommendations
    Retrospective evaluation of research & Contributions; Recommendations for improving the situation; Identification of new directions for further research
  7. Overall
    Standard of English Language (Score to be above 90%) and Similarity Index (Plagiarism) to be less than 30%, based on Grammarly; Clarity of illustrations; APA style of referencing.

The journals will adhere to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

  • Originality and proper citation required
  • No plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification
  • Conflict of interest must be disclosed
  • Ethical clearance required for human-subject research (where applicable)
    6.2 Plagiarism Policy
  • All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software
  • Manuscripts with excessive similarity will be rejected or returned for correction
  • Retractions & Corrections
  • Retractions issued for proven ethical violations
  • Corrections published for honest errors that do not invalidate findings

Publication Frequency

Commencing 2026 the IJSAI is published once annually, including Supplementary issues.
